Nasty C lends his voice to new Disney+ animated anthology of films

He is always planning his next move. If he’s not working on new music or collaborating with international stars, Nasty C is in South Africa expanding his brand.

The internationally renowned star, real name Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, recently joined global production company and streaming service Disney+ on a new and exciting project.

Although this isn’t Nasty C’s first acting gig – he had a cameo role in the Netflix series Blood and Water – it’s his first involvement in a project of this magnitude.

The SMA hitmaker has been announced as part of the voice cast of a new Disney+ animated series, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, a collection of animated films showcasing the talent of African creators.

The 10-part animated anthology shows off the work of rising talent across the African continent, and taps into Afrofuturism.

The cast members of the animated films include Florence Kasumba, who is best known for her role as Ayo on Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Nigerian star Kehinde Bankole, who portrays Olayinka on Netflix’s Blood Sisters.

The excited rapper shared the news on social media, quoting the lyrics from his Eazy single. “Every blessing that I prayed for fell right down into me.”

His industry friends and fans congratulated the 25-year-old for the strides he continues to make in the entertainment industry.
